No trouble at the mill (Mar 10)

Proposals for the residential development of a brownfield site in Biddulph, East Cheshire, have been granted outline planning permission.

Just Ecology’s surveys of the site and expert Ecological Impact Assessment was followed by the development of a comprehensive mitigation strategy that managed and minimised impacts to acceptable levels, without compromising the scheme and also enhancing the biodiversity of the remaining parts of the site.

Attendance at a series of stakeholder consultation meetings has been key to the decision making process of this application, allowing Just Ecology to provide comfort to the planning authority regarding the programme of mitigation developed for this site and enabling permission to be granted.
