Vacancy - Senior/Principal Consultant Ecologist

We now wish to strengthen our team and seek a talented individual to join our Gloucestershire-based team.  The appointed individual must bring significant ecological expertise in survey, mitigation, EIA and environmental management.  Research and business development experience would also be desirable.

The individual must also be confident, friendly, professional, hard working and flexible, with a ‘can-do’ attitude.  Good communication skills are important, as is a willingness to work unsociable hours when necessary and travel throughout the UK. A full UK driving licence and own car are essential.

Duties will be wide-ranging and are to include:

·        Active contributions to the promotion and development of our business.

·        Developing and maintaining exceptional client relations.

·        Pursuing business opportunities, tendering and quoting.

·        Project delivery, either individually or as part of a team, to time, to budget and to high standards.

A mix of field and office-based assignments is the norm and the successful candidate will get involved in all aspects of our business.

Depending on experience, appointment will be at the senior or principal ecologist level, thus a high calibre individual is sought, preferably with a good track record (5+ years) of sole-trader or consultancy experience already.

Offered for this post are an industry-competitive basic salary, paid holiday entitlement and a performance-related bonus.  Business expenses are reclaimable with access to our pension scheme after 12 months.
