Ecological Impact Assessments

'Ecology', 'Biodiversity' or 'Nature Conservation' is a key consideration in most Environmental Impact Assessments. This topic is often the subject of a separate chapter within Environmental Reports or Environmental Statements prepared for development projects.

The Just Ecology team is proficient at delivering the ecological elements of any EIA, in full compliance with current best practice and relevant UK and European legislation.

We prepare supporting baseline survey reports, scoping reports and impact assessment documentation, including full details of assessment methods, constraint maps, impact results and mitigation solutions.  Ecological mitigation is often required to reduce and, if possible, eliminate the negative impacts of any development project.  Mitigation may be developed within the framework of an Ecological Impact Assessment or may be the subject of a separate Mitigation Strategy for the site, or for a particular species.

Just Ecology rises to the challenge of complex impact assessments, and we work professionally within multi-disciplinary project teams.

We are also able to advise on failed EIA submissions and offer independent peer review of the ecology elements of EIA submissions.
